APTA is recruiting the next generation of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants — and we need your help. DPT and PTA education programs, components, educators, advisors, and influencers are helping us spread the word about the physical therapy profession, the DPT and PTA application process, available career opportunities, and much more. One of the first initiatives under the PT Moves Me Student Recruitment Campaign is the PT Moves Me Ambassador Program.
I Want My Students To Learn More About Physical Therapy!
If you are not a PT Moves Me Ambassador but are interested in having a presentation about physical therapy at your school, please email studentrecruitment@apta.org. Note: The PTMovesMe Speaker Request process is currently undergoing revisions and will return in Fall 2022. In the interim, we are accepting requests via emai at studentrecruitment@apta.org.
About the PT Moves Me Ambassador Program
Advisors, educators, or influencers play a major role in guiding prospective students to the profession of physical therapy. APTA launched the Physical Therapy Moves Me student recruitment campaign and ambassador program to make it easier to reach the next generation of physical therapist and physical therapist assistants.
Want to be an ambassador?
To be a PT Moves Me Ambassador you must currently be associated with a DPT program, PTA program, or your APTA state chapter.
To find out if your chapter or education program has PT Moves Me Ambassador representation, reach out to your chapter or program leadership, or contact APTA’s Student Recruitment Team.

How does it work?
Education programs, APTA components, and businesses (coming soon) can nominate one or two ambassadors who will recruit the next generation of PTs and PTAs.
The PT Moves Me Ambassador Program is designed to:
- Raise awareness of the profession of physical therapy.
- Recruit the next generation of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.
- Increase diversity within the applicant pool, and ultimately the profession.
As a PT Moves Me ambassador, you'll have access to APTA-designed resources, information, and connections to help you inform prospective students, advisors, and influencers about the profession of physical therapy, and the application and matriculation process.
For more information on how to become an ambassador contact APTA's Student Recruitment Team.
