The Dimensions of Diversity Award was established in 2022 to recognize and facilitate the diversity of our society in the profession of physical therapy. The award is an opportunity to increase the diversity of the physical therapy profession as well as foster inclusion and belongingness in the profession. These awards can facilitate and/or support individuals, programs, or activities from education to mentoring, pipeline activities, clinical activities, research activities, and leadership development. These funds can be used to achieve the mission and strategic plan of the American Physical Therapy Association, and its vision for the physical therapy profession for the next 100 years.

Faculty members who improve diversity, equity, and inclusion within the profession are also eligible to apply for an award.

These awards are sponsored by the PT Fund, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization supported by APTA, and voluntary contributions.
