To identify a student physical therapist and student physical therapist assistant member with exceptional overall accomplishments and contributions to APTA, the Student Assembly, and the physical therapy profession.

Awarded Scholarships

The outstanding student physical therapist will receive a $1000 scholarship. The outstanding student physical therapist assistant will receive a $500 scholarship.


  1. Applicants must currently be enrolled in their final year of an accredited or developing physical therapist or physical therapist assistant education program.
  2. The applicant must be a current member of APTA.
  3. Elected officers of the Student Assembly Board of Directors and Nominating Committee are not eligible.


The nominations call for the 2022 Honors and Awards program are now closed. Selected recipients will be notified of receipt of the honor or award in May 2022.
