Physical therapy research has come a very long way over the 100 years since APTA's founding. Research has helped to make the profession vital in the eyes of the health care community and the patients and clients it serves.
That research also has been influential in the education of future physical therapists and its expansion and evolution.
As Winston Churchill once said, "To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often."
