Ethics in Practice | When Professional and Personal Life Intersect

We know that the expectation is that we are aware of and respect the boundaries between our personal and professional life. Along those same lines, we try to stay in our own professional lane, respecting the expertise of our colleagues and collaborating with them in the best interest of the patients we share. On occasion, however, the lines blur and we may step outside of our professional scope with potential danger to patients, families, the profession, and society.
