PTCAS, the physical therapist centralized application service provided by the American Physical Therapy Association, provides students and programs with a platform to more easily facilitate the admissions process.

PTCAS allows physical therapist applicants to use a single web-based application and 1 set of materials to apply to multiple PT programs.

Applicants who apply through PTCAS submit a completed web-based application comprised of biographical data, institutions attended, academic course history, physical therapy observation hours, list of reference providers, work experiences, extracurricular activities, honors, professional licenses, and a personal essay. It is the applicant's responsibility to read and follow all PTCAS and program-specific instructions.

Support and Quick Links

The Applicant Data Report provides an overview of previous Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS) application cycles. Moving forward, reports will be distributed on a tri-annual basis and will include analyses of multiple past cycles as past reports have. In addition, an annual report summarizing data from the most recent application cycle will be shared each year. This reporting structure will provide opportunities to examine long-term trends across application cycles through the tri-annual reports, while the annual reports will offer insights and reflections on the most recently completed cycle.
