Overview

The reviewers recommend that patients with active psoriatic arthritis use some form or combination of exercise, physical therapy, occupational therapy, massage therapy, and acupuncture over not using these modalities. Low‐impact exercise such as tai chi, swimming, and yoga are recommended over high‐impact exercise such as running. High‐impact exercises may be performed instead of low‐impact exercises by patients who prefer the former and have no contraindications to high‐impact exercises.
