On this APTA Live event, we'll provide an update on the final 2022 Medicare Fee Schedule rule and APTA’s advocacy efforts to get Congress to intervene.
Beginning Jan. 1, 2022, payment for outpatient therapy services furnished by physical therapist assistants is now reimbursed at 85% of the Medicare Fee Schedule. Patients are at risk of losing access to therapy services, especially in rural and underserved areas, just as we fight our way back from a pandemic that has increased patient need for those services and challenged the financial stability of providers.
Our speakers
Moderator: Jodi Pfeiffer, PTA
Justin Elliott, APTA vice president of government affairs
Kate Gilliard, JD, APTA senior regulatory affairs specialist
