APTA's Learning Center is transitioning to a new platform in January 2023. The new Elevate platform will be more user-friendly, searchable, navigable, and functional. New features will include recommended content based on a learner's interest areas and an upgraded transcript area where learners can upload external content to streamline the license renewal process. Current Learning Center users are now receiving communications on the steps they may need to take before the transition, depending on the status of their enrolled courses.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Will I have to recreate my account in the new Learning Center?

No, with our single sign on feature, you will be able to keep the same email address and password in the new platform for the APTA Learning Center.

What if I don't finish a course I've started by Dec. 31, 2022?

If the course is not set to retire, your registration in the course will be migrated to the new APTA Learning Center platform, but your progress will not be saved. If you don't complete the course by Dec. 31, you will need to start the course over from the beginning.

If the course is set to retire, you will not be able to restart the course in the new APTA Learning Center. You will need to complete it by the Dec. 31 deadline or lose the opportunity to take it.

How will I know which courses are going to be retired?

The APTA Learning Center will notify learners about retiring courses. You will need to complete those courses by Dec. 31, 2022, to be able to claim CEUs. The course will NOT be available in the new APTA Learning Center.

This information will also be added as an announcement at the top of the course page of each retiring course within the APTA Learning Center. You can find the course page for each course you are enrolled in by navigating to the My Training area of the APTA Learning Center. You can toggle to all your active courses and click on the individual course listing to see if the course page indicates the activity will be retired.

Will I be able to access my existing CEU certificates in the new APTA Learning Center platform?

Only certificates earned after Jan. 1, 2016 will be available in the new platform.

Any CEU certificate that was earned prior to Jan. 1, 2016, will not be migrated to the new APTA Learning Center. If you believe you need a record of your completed courses older than seven years, then you must download and save those certificates.

Why do I need my session transcript or listing from conferences I attended?

Your session transcript or listing is a session-by-session tracking of the events you scanned into during your time at APTA Combined Sections Meeting or APTA NEXT Conference. Certain states require this information to approve your conference CEUs for licensure renewal. We recommend that you download all session transcripts or listings and save them in your personal records in case this information is requested by your state licensing board.

How do I download my conference CEU session listing or transcript?

Find the conference listing in the My Training area of the APTA Learning Center. Click More Info when you have located the listing. The page that loads will contain buttons for Certificate, Session Transcript, and Transcript, as shown below.

Click on the Session Transcript button. This will take you to the listing of all sessions you attended at the conference. You can then click on the Print Transcript button on the right side of the screen.

Can I upload my older certificates into the new APTA Learning Center after its launch?

Yes! The new APTA Learning Center will let users input any professional development activities they have participated in, allowing for a customizable learner transcript. This will help to streamline your license renewal process.

You can upload any externally earned CEU certificates, as well as any of your older APTA Learning Center certificates that are not migrated to the new platform. Remember to download the Learning Center certificates and save them to your personal files so that you can upload them to the new platform.
