Several of APTA's academies and sections formed two task forces to identify core sets of outcome measures for patients diagnosed with COVID-19. The Cross-Academy/Section COVID-19 Core Outcome Measure Task Force developed a set for patients across the continuum of care and in all settings. The COVID-19 Pediatric Core Outcome Measures Task Force developed a set for pediatric patients.

A core set of outcome measures aids in describing the trajectory of recovery from COVID-19 and facilitates research initiatives. To ensure consistency and enable clinicians to better understand trends in functional recovery, each document includes a clinical application algorithm to use in performing the tests and measures.

Each outcomes measures document is available for download below.
