When most people envision our profession, the images are culled from media. Someone gets hurt and goes to physical therapy to walk within parallel bars, or to do various exercises with big, colorful balls. What people don’t picture is someone who was just diagnosed with a devastating disease that has a mean survival time of three to five years.
