As a physical therapy student, I often feel lost when it comes to understanding money. I don’t have a background in business or finance, and the topic is often quite daunting.

But there are resources out there to help students and clinicians alike. I recently explored the APTA Financial Solutions Center, and after a short time I already feel more comfortable and in control of my financial situation.

I had not used this resource before, which is free for all APTA members. I had heard other students mention it but never took the time to explore it myself, because I’d assumed it would mostly contain generic information about budgeting and finances that were either common sense or not applicable to me as a student.

I was wrong.
