The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has released the final 2023 Medicare Part B Physician Fee Schedule, and there's a lot to unpack (here's what CMS says about it in a recent press release and fact sheet). Over a three-part series of articles, we're sharing what you need to know about the rule, which takes effect Jan. 1.

This installment focuses on the Medicare Quality Payment Program including the Merit-based Incentive Payment System, or MIPS, and MIPS Value Pathways. Part 1 of this series covered payment, and part 2 looked at service provisions including telehealth, remote monitoring, supervision, and more.
