Payment under the 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule would increase for providers paid under the fee schedule, including physical therapists, under a bipartisan bill introduced Jan. 31 in the U.S. House of Representatives. The APTA-supported Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act of 2025 (H.R. 879) would fully eliminate the 2.8% fee schedule cut, and provide for an inflation adjustment starting April 1.

Contact Congress and urge them to help fix the flawed Medicare Fee Schedule.

The 2.8% cut to the conversion factor went into effect on Jan. 1, after Congress failed to address the Medicare fee schedule, and dozens of other critical federal programs, in their year-end legislative package in December 2024.
