Neck Pain

Up to 50% of adults will experience neck pain in a given year. (1) Most acute neck pain spontaneously resolves within a week to a few months. (2) However, between 50% to 75% of individuals with neck pain will report recurrent neck pain within 1 to 5 years. (3) Persistent and recurrent neck pain results in significant costs related to treatment, lost wages from time off work, and worker’s compensation expenditures. (4 ,5 )
