Self-Paced Walk Test (SPWT)
Summary
What it measures:
This test assesses the time that it takes to walk a set distance, usually less than 150 feet. (Distances reported range from 8 ft to 150 ft to 400m). Lower walking time values (or higher walking speed) represent better performance. (2)
Target Population:
People with hip and knee osteoarthritis, joint replacement, rheumatoid arthritis, older adults, and children.
