Summary
What it measures:
This is a physical performance test of how long it takes for a person to ascend and descend a flight of stairs (1). [Another version uses symptom limitation for number of stairs climbed (2)]
Target Population:
Patients with lower extremity impairments, such as osteoarthritis (OA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA), and patients with cardiopulmonary conditions (1-5).
