Physical therapists and physical therapist assistants agree upon becoming members of APTA that they will abide by the APTA's Code of Ethics for Physical Therapists and Standards of Ethical Conduct for the Physical Therapy Assistant.
If you believe that a PT member of APTA has violated the Code of Ethics for the Physical Therapist, or a PTA member has violated the Standards of Ethical Conduct for the Physical Therapist Assistant, please file a complaint to APTA's Ethics and Judicial Committee.
You can file a complaint by submitting the form below.
Do not submit complaints against entities, business, or institutions, as they are not members of APTA. Please submit one form for each individual you believe has violated the Code or Standards.
The Ethics and Judicial Committee will review all complaints, evaluate the information provided, and make a recommendation to the APTA Board of Directors for further action as needed.
