Interested in how large language models compare against clinicians? Listen as Editor-in-Chief Steven George, PT, PhD, FAPTA, talks with Yael Arbel, PT, MHA, Yoav Gimmon, PT, PhD, and Liora Shmueli, PhD, about their recently published study, which tested the performance of ChatGPT and Google Gemini against 30 physical therapists and 30 physical therapist students on 20 multiple-choice questions about vestibular rehabilitation. The authors discuss the impact of prompt engineering, the potential for studies with other large language models, and the importance of human expertise when integrating new technological tools.

Steven George, PT, PhD, FAPTA, is editor-in-chief of PTJ: Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Journal. He is the Laszlo Ormandy Distinguished Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery, and therapeutic area lead in musculoskeletal and surgical sciences at the Duke Clinical Research Institute at Duke University.

Yael Arbel, PT, MHA, is a researcher and physical therapist affiliated with the Department of Management at Bar-Ilan University.

Yoav Gimmon, PT, PhD, is a senior lecturer on the Faculty of Social Welfare & Health Studies in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Haifa. He is also affiliated with the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Sheba Medical Center.

Liora Shmueli, PhD, is a researcher and physical therapist with the Department of Management at Bar-Ilan University.
