In my opening speech at the 50th Annual APTA Combined Sections Meeting in Houston in February, I recalled how I attended the event 17 years ago as a new clinical specialist. I was drawn to APTA by my excitement for my career, the future of our profession, and the opportunity to connect with mentors, colleagues, and new friends to impact the profession and our patients.
