When APTA began planning its new Strategic Framework for 2030, the team knew one thing for certain: the profession was at a crossroads. Payment pressures were intensifying. Workforce challenges were growing. Clinical models were evolving at a scale and speed unlike anything physical therapists and physical therapist assistants had experienced in decades. And yet, in those challenges, leaders across APTA saw opportunity — opportunity to position the profession not simply to react to the health care landscape but to redefine it.
