I'm Andy. My Combined Sections Meeting story almost didn't happen.

Just two months before CSM, I had complex ankle surgery. I was completely nonweight bearing until 10 days before the start of the conference.

I had serious thoughts about skipping the conference, but as the days passed and my walking improved, I grew more and more confident. However, even though I did improve physically, I still wasn't where I wanted to be. So as an emergency backup I bought a foldable cane off Amazon, packed my bag, and hopped in the car toward my first professional conference in the physical therapy profession.
