Prior to being accepted into physical therapy school, I emailed APTA to inquire about obtaining an APTA membership.

I got an email back commending me for my eagerness but letting me know I had to start PT school first.

As soon as I could, I attended my first Combined Sections Meeting. I was so excited and eager that I arrived early to pick up my badge and to scope out the convention center, with the list of sessions I planned to attend (yes, I am that person).

I soon learned that #PTFam is more than just a hashtag, as it was great to meet other physical therapist and physical therapist assistant students with similar experiences to my journey.
