Donald E. Tepper was editor of APTA's monthly memberhip magazine until his retirement in Nov. 2021.

Before joining the association in 2001, he served in a number of communications and public relations positions with other national Washington-based associations, including the National Industrial Traffic League, Regular Common Carrier Conference, Private Carrier Conference, National Private Truck Council, and Building Service Contractors Association International. He is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America. He received a bachelor’s degree in English literature from George Washington University, an master's in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a certificate in information technology from the University of Virginia.
