Antarctica: the world's coldest, windiest, driest, and highest-altitude continent in the world. It's a cold desert capped by an inland ice sheet, containing approximately 90% of the world's total surface fresh water and 60% of the world's total fresh water with an ice sheet so heavy that it has pushed the land below sea level, according to the British Antarctic Survey.
