Like many others, my first exposure to the American Physical Therapy Association was required membership through my doctor of physical therapy program.

At the time, I didn’t have a good grasp on what APTA actually was or what they did for us. All I knew was that this was an extra fee that I had to add to the bottom line every year. It wasn’t until later that those first-year student dues changed my life forever.
